Emotions like a swift storm  
Make my heart race  
As they rage on  
Behind closed eyes.

The duality of life  
Has me frozen  
In space, in time  
Frozen in time.

"If only"  
I gasp  
Instead of  
"It is"  
And will always be  
"What it is."

Deep full breaths in  
Counting, counting  
Holding holding  
Deep breath out.

Behind closed eyes  
The clouds fade  
To leave a blue sky  
As my out breath  
Ends in a sigh.
