Nine Attitudes
Sitting as the noise dims within and without
I observe the clouds that remain
Without portent of future storms
I wait, not to hurry them along
But with a child’s mind
To see what will unfold
Seated or in motion
I trust without struggle, without strife
That what is, is
and welcome what will be
As it will be
And am so grateful for the joys
That each breath in and out
Has given me since the very first
And feel the overwhelming desire
To share my wealth of good will
With all creatures made of stardust
And their souls within.
