In Memory of a Friend
One
blush of a fall morn,
water leaps from jagged cliffs,
birds break the silence
Two
in the crisp open field,
mourners lean against the wind,
the dove lifts in flight
Three
at the summer's end,
the red orb against blue sky,
seabirds wheel and cry
