Door

Door

I seek the hidden door,
one that leads to a higher plane—
where bodies cannot follow,
but wisps of souls remain.

What map will guide my steps?
What key unlocks the door?
What wisdom must I gather
to face what waits before?

My sangha
bathes in the sound of chakras’ chants.
We bow, we bend, we twist
through a timeless, sacred sequence.
We sigh, then sip each breath,
rooted in earth’s warm embrace,
the chatter of our minds erased.

Eyes closed,
I focus between my brows.
Still in darkness, a figure appears—
and in the hush between breaths
I could have sworn I heard it say:
close the door,
keep the noise at bay.

Returning to my breath,
for a few moments more,
I rise above
Samsara’s sway.
